February 14, 2011 - Waivers, Registration Settings, Schedule Tools, Team Profiles and More

This release includes a bunch of useful improvements, based on a lot of great feedback. Please, keep the feedback coming! And, Happy Valentine's Day!

  • Waiver Handling:
    • You can now see which players have or have not accepted the waiver, right on the league players listing page.
    • Players are prompted to retroactively accept the waiver. This is useful if the player had been directly added by team captain (rather than registering on their own).

  • Registration Settings & Management:
    • Players and site members can now be searched by username and email address.
    • The "original role" of each registered player is displayed (since the role can change when players are moved).
    • Added a registration setting that explicitly allows free-agents to register at no charge. This is useful if you want them to be invoiced only if/when they are assigned to a team.
    • Added a registration setting to decide if free-agents who join teams should be considered "detached" or not (regarding team payments). The default setting is to treat them as "detached".
    • Each player's outstanding amount is now shown inline on the league players page.
    • Processing fee is now shared among players if "player payment sharing" is enabled (it was formerly always being assigned to the captain).
    • Added handing on invoice page to inform user about PayPal's 60 day refund window.
    • You can now enter notes when issuing refunds.

  • Schedule Management Tools:
    • You can now schedule games with "TBD" selected for team(s), location, and time. This is handy when planning out future games when certain details are unknown, adding playoff game slots, etc.
    • Added the ability to control whether the schedule is publicly "published" or not. This is useful if you're still working it out, and not ready to announce the schedule to your members.

  • Site Settings & Administration:
    • Email setting now lets you customize the "from name" for outgoing emails.
    • Added the ability to make sites go "offline" / "online".
    • Added the ability to promote site members to admins.

  • Team Profiles and More
    • Team profiles have been added, including fields for name, headline, description, and logo photo. Both members and admins can edit team profiles.
    • Enhanced the feedback form to capture nature of your feedback. This will help us better service your support requests.
    • Various bug fixes.
